Drone Simulator

Roles: Design and Development Lead | Duration: 11 Months | Team Size: 3

As the Development Lead, I had the privilege of contributing to the development and deployment of a cutting-edge VR-based Drone Simulator for one of India's pioneering EdTech companies. The simulator provides an immersive experience for students interested in the fields of Drone Design and Aviation, allowing them to hone their flying skills without needing to invest in a physical drone. By combining the power of VR with aviation, we have created an engaging and interactive way for students to experience the thrill of flight. My role in this project allowed me to gain valuable experience in the development of innovative educational technologies and work alongside a talented team to bring this project to fruition. I am proud to have contributed to an initiative that will help inspire the next generation of drone enthusiasts and aviation professionals.

Cross Platform: The simulator is compatible on multiple platforms(Windows, Android, Mac) using a keyboard, joystick, or touch input. Players can also choose from a Basic, Intermediate, or Advanced mode depending on the system's processing power.

Drone Physics: The simulator employs Unity's physics system to implement drone aviation simulations for individual motor control and drone movement.

Team: The development of Drone Simulator began in the early days of 2019 Lockdown. It was a difficult time for all of us. I was fortunate to work with a fantastic set of individuals who made this product possible.
